Membership to MEEA brings access to a network of leaders, experts and practitioners in the field of e-learning from various parts of the world; it allows for interaction through working groups, meetings and seminars and gives members the opportunity to exchange knowledge and ‘knowhow’ and contribute overall to the development of e-learning both regionally and internationally. As a member of MEEA will be entitled to several benefits, which include:

• Leadership Opportunities: members of MEEA will take a leadership role in establishing the first of its kind e-learning association for the MENA region and assist in defining its strategic directions and on making recommendations on matters affecting the implementation of e-learning in the region.
• Networking and communication Opportunities: by becoming a member you will have access to a wide network of institutions and organizations adopting e-learning and/ or providing e-learning services. This will allow possibly the opening of new markets, the initiation of new joint projects and initiatives and the establishment of partnerships and relationships.
• Positioning in the Region: by becoming a member of MEEA your institution would be invited to take an active role in many initiatives and activities conducted or facilitated by MEEA; this would include: awareness campaigns on the use of online and distance learning in various sectors, special projects tackling new methodologies and technologies for online education, quality assurance, research initiatives, etc.
• Exchange of Best Practices and ‘know how’: the association will take an active role in providing and interactive forum for the exchange of ideas and information among various members and partners of the association.
• Joint Initiatives: Opportunities will be available to work on joint research projects, programs, awards and other initiatives of relevance to the association.
• Awards Jury: Members of organizations who are members of MEEA will be invited to serve as jury members of the various awards initiated by MEEA.
• News and Updates: Members will be receiving quarterly newsletter, email updates, etc related to the different activities of the association and its various members which would include possible collaboration or funding opportunities.
• Free Journal Subscription and access to Forum Proceedings: As a member of MEEA you will have free access (and the opportunity to contribute) to the International Journal of Excellence in e-Learning published by HBMeU Publishing House as well as the proceedings of the Annual Excellence in the Middle East Forum, in addition to access to various reports and research work produced by the association’s members.
• Programs and Conference Discounts: Members will receive discounted rate to professional programs in the area of e-learning which are either established through either MEEA or HBMeU. This discount varies between 10-50%. Members will also be entitled to 50% discount on the annual e-Learning excellence in the Middle East forum registration fees.
