| The Best Research Paper Tackling the Implementation of e-Learning in the Arab World Award has been established with the purpose of honoring the author(s) of a paper of exceptional merit dealing with a particular subject area related to e-learning implementation in the Arab World.
Evaluation Criteria
The jury will select the winners of the award based on the following criteria:
- Contribution and importance to the literature and advancement of e-Learning
- Relevance of the research paper to the advancement of e-learning in the region
- Ability of the author(s) to draw upon and contextualizing their work within the literature
- The degree to which the author draws upon appropriate and relevant research methods in the justification of any conclusions.
- Originality and creativity of the work presented
- Clarity and style of writing
- Technical strength (compliance with manuscript format and style guide of the forum)
Submission and Evaluation
The process entails the following steps:
- Candidates are invited to submit their entries for evaluation between the 1st of March and the 1st of September of each year.
- All research proposals are reviewed by an Internal Committee consisting of well qualified researchers in the field from Hamdan Bin Mohammad e-University for initial review and screening
- The shortlisted proposals will be forwarded to an International Jury for evaluation and selection of the award winner.
Award Rules
- The research should tackle the implementation of e-learning in the Arab World
- Submitted research should have been completed within the past two years
- All submissions are to be to be made in accordance with the submission guidelines provided by the Award Organizers.
Award Ceremony
The award ceremony will take place during the HBMeU Annual Congress taking place on 30th January, 2012 Dubai.
Recipients of the award would be notified by December 15th of each year.
